Northern Virginia nonprofit gives domestic violence survivors temporary housing and support to break the cycle of abuse
ALEXANDRIA, VA — PCI, a leading marketing agency, has selected Bethany House of Northern Virginia as its pro bono client for 2015. PCI will provide Bethany House with a strategic communications plan, social media support, and key outreach materials for partners and donors to support the renovation and expansion of its housing facilities.
Since 1979, Bethany House has provided families with safe, confidential shelter – along with case management, counseling, home and job skills training, and other services – to help them thrive. In Fairfax County, 33% of family homelessness is due to domestic violence.
“Last year we were able to serve 47 families,” said Jasmin Witcher, Acting Executive Director, “but the needs are so much greater. Expanding our housing is critical to enabling families to avoid two unbearable alternatives: being homeless or returning to an abuser.”

In 2013 PCI was honored with the Alexandria Business Philanthropist of the Year Award by Volunteer Alexandria.
