The Washington Nationals Support Community Initiatives at Annual Fundraising Event and PCI was once again excited to partner with the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation to produce the Nationals 2016 Dream Gala.
This year’s All-Star-studded event celebrated the “Power of Baseball.” Washington Nationals players, coaches and guests from around the region supported the Dream Foundation’s care for academics, the arts, nutrition and sports for DC-area youth and their families, including area little leagues, the Washington Nationals Diabetes Care Complex at Children’s National Medical Center and the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy.
Now in its ninth year partnering with the Foundation, PCI produced an event truly showcasing the “Power of Baseball” – one that the audience enjoyed and felt proud to support. Attendees were ready to celebrate the start of another great season – and donate generously – while Nats players such as 2015 NL MVP Bryce Harper, pitcher Max Scherzer and manager Dusty Baker exchanged their usual uniforms for tuxes for the celebration.
PCI brought this year’s electric theme to life through video, staging, set and lighting. The room filled with excitement as guests bid on Live Auction items including memorabilia from Max Scherzer’s two no-hitters in 2015, an autographed watercolor painting commemorating Harper’s historic 2015 season, a vacation to Hawaii, and a chance to spend the day with the Nationals Baseball Operations team and General Manager Mike Rizzo!
It was a powerful night of giving for a powerful ballclub in support of a powerful cause.
